Major new business achievement awards launched to coincide with 2009 ‘Leaders in India’ Business Foru

Mumbai, June 09: More than half a year since nominations initially began, public voting has finally commenced for the IIBAAs (Indo-International Business Achievement Awards). Voting will be carried out entirely by the public, and unlike in a number of other prominent international awards processes, will not involve any judges. The awards ceremony will be held in Mumbai on October 9th 2009 at the same venue as the 2009 Leaders in India Business Forum, which will feature large delegations from Europe, The US, South East Asia and the Middle East.

The IIBAAs have been instituted by Informa, the global professional media giants, and their presentation is expected to be a highlight at the inaugural, high profile Leaders in India Business Forum. Nominees include Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani in ‘individual’ categories, and the Tata Group, GE and Google in the ‘organisation’ categories.

MORE ABOUT THE IIBAAS AND HOW TO VOTE

The IIBAAs have been established to acknowledge exceptional entrepreneurial and innovative talent, effective and responsible leadership and management, and the setting of new standards within Indian and global business. The awards also acknowledge organisations that have spearheaded meaningful socially responsible practices within India, and internationally.

The business community at large and members of the public can vote in the following categories: Indian Business Leader 2009, International Business Leader 2009, Indian Company of the Year 2009, International Company of the Year 2009, Young Business Leader 2009 and Leader in Corporate Social Responsibility 2009.

To submit your votes for the nominees against each category for the IIBAAs, log on to www.iibaas.com. Voting closes at 5pm on 30th September 2009. For more about Leaders in India, visit www.leaders-india.com.
